Still on cloud nine this morning as I had the best time this weekend celebrating my 30th birthday! Although I found out about the surprise party beforehand, my husband did such a great job pulling it all together. Since becoming a mom, my nights out are few and far between, so the fact that I got to have so many of my close friends all in one room together, meant the world! As I was chatting with some of my girlfriends last night, we were talking about how we need to get back into a routine before school starts, which means getting everyone ready and out the door on time, including ourselves. Although I am looking forward to having more time to focus on the blog, I will admit, it has been nice not having to get up and rush the kids to school every morning. I know I will be reaching for easy pieces this fall that don’t require a lot of effort but still make me look pulled together. Today I wanted to share a few simple pieces to make you feel a little more polished this fall!

This look mostly consists of items that were purchased during the Nordstrom anniversary sale. Although I love a good pair of distressed denim, I have been on the hunt of a good pair of jeans sans holes, and these definitely make the cut! See what I did there? They have a raw him which still gives a bit of a distressed feel, but not so much that I wouldn’t feel comfortable wearing them to a parent/teacher conference. These jeans fit true to size and are the perfect length (I am 5’5 for reference).
I usually start wearing more neutrals in the fall and winter months, but always add in a pop of color when I can. I am obsessed with these flats as they remind me so much of my Valentino heels with their studded detail. The color is also identical to the new pair of pink Valentinos I got earlier this summer. They come in a variety of colors and prints, and instantly elevate your look without sacrificing comfort.
This top was another great find during the anniversary sale, but is still a great price at just under $80. Although I paired it with denim here, it still gives a polished look with the smocked collar and buttoned cuffs. It comes in two other colors and I am really loving the “olive curry” color for fall! You can also pair it with a pencil skirt to dress it up even more.
Lastly, these earrings…are you tired of them yet? Because clearly I’m not! These are seriously such a good buy at under $40 and literally go with everything, which is why I can’t stop wearing them! I have probably gotten more compliments on these earrings then any other pair of statement earrings I own. They are really lightweight too which is an added bonus!
Hope you all have a wonderful week! Thanks for stopping by!
