Happy Monday friends! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! My posts have been a little sporadic lately, as we are all still anxiously awaiting for school to start! So, I thought today would be a great day to share what has been happening lately on Ladera. But before we do, let’s talk about this outfit, shall we?
I snagged this dress and these shoes last month during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. I am obsessed with the color of this dress as it is even more vibrant in person than it appeared online. I love the neckline as well but chose to leave it unbuttoned to showcase my Julie Vos Savannah necklace. This is definitely a piece you can wear now with a cute pair of flats and transition it into the fall and winter months with some suede over-the-knee boots. I also recently spotted the top version of this dress which I love just as much!
- Last week I attended a Modern Calligraphy workshop held by Mint and Maple and Shop Small Fort Worth. I have always wanted to learn calligraphy so I was really excited when I saw that they were offering this workshop! It definitely takes a lot of practice, but I felt like I had already started to pick it up by the end of class. Mint and Maple is based out of Austin, but they have workshops throughout several major cities in Texas. They are coming back to Fort Worth in the fall for some watercolor workshops which I plan to attend! Come join me!
- If you are signed up for my newsletter then you should have gotten an email last week about the Beautycounter sale. I ordered several new things from the sale including their new blush, bronzer and highlighter, which I plan to share later on this month. I also stocked up on some essentials including their sunscreen, baby balm and kids bath collection. I shared more of my favorites a few weeks ago in this post. If there is something you’ve been wanting to try, today is the last day to get 20% off your order! Use code LOVE at checkout.
- We took the kids bowling on Saturday at Clearkfork’s new Pinstripes bowling ally. We were nervous at first as we didn’t know if they would be old enough to really enjoy it, but they had a blast! It is a very family friendly environment and very accommodating to the littles! I also love that you can make reservations online. Afterwards, we ate lunch at Pinstripes Bistro restaurant, which was delicious! If you haven’t been yet, definitely check it out. The kids are already asking to go back and do it all over again!
- I am working on a huge essential oils post on how to use your starter kit, but wanted to tell you about a product we are now obsessed with! We have had a difficult time transitioning Charlotte to her big girl bed, hence my posting frequency. It seems as though she is taking a lot longer to fall asleep lately. We used Young Living’s Linen Spray on her pillow case last night and she fell asleep so much faster! It is part of Young Living’s Seedlings line, so it was created for infants and little ones. However, I’m about to add it to our Essential Rewards order as I think we need one in our room too! It is infused with Lavender, Bergamot and Ylang Ylang which creates a really relaxing and soothing environment.
What have you been up to lately? Thanks for stopping by!
