Get Game Day Ready with Cleary Handbags

Clearly Handbags

Year after year, the first week of September usually means a few things….the kids have gone back to school, Pumpkin Spice lattes make their seasonal debut, and football season has begun! If you’re from the south, you know that we take this seriously…and I’m not just talking about the lattes! 😉 I shared this look on Instagram over the weekend and so many of you loved it, so I wanted to share all of the details on the item you need this fall to get you game day ready!

My husband likes to give me a hard time and claims that I never want to go to sporting events with him anymore, which is simply not the case.  A couple of years ago, stadiums changed the rules on what handbags were allowed, and unfortunately, none of mine made the cut! I remember right around that time, we had tickets to a Cowboys game. As we were leaving the house one Sunday afternoon, Hugh mentioned that my bag wouldn’t be allowed into the stadium. As I began to panic, he nonchalantly suggested that I just “use a Ziplock bag.”  I laughed for a second and then realized that he was serious. Not that I’m totally above a Ziplock bag or anything as we go through our fair share on Ladera.  But when it comes to accessories, my rule of thumb is that if it’s not going to be cute, it at least needs to be functional…and a Ziplock bag was neither in this case. No strap, no handle, nothing. I decided to ditch my belongings and just bring my phone incase the babysitter needed to get ahold of me and my lipstick. #priorities As we arrived at the stadium I handed the two items to Hugh as I didn’t have pockets. Long story short, about halfway through the game I asked Hugh for my lipstick and turns out he had lost it…and I’ve never been able to go to a sporting event ever again! 😉 Kidding, but I knew I needed to find a solution. #savethelipsticks

A while back, I remember looking for a clear handbag, but I couldn’t ever find any that I loved or that weren’t almost the price of a designer handbag.  Needless to say, I was ecstatic when I recently discovered Clearly Handbags, a stadium-approved clear handbag line created by Kori Green and Ro Rynd. Functional, yet fashionable, I especially love that the bags and the straps are sold separately which allows you to customize it to fit your style.  I went with the Jackie style bag which gives me major Valentino vibes.  I was able to fit my phone, keys, lipstick and credit card/ID.  They also offer wallet inserts which are great for organizing all of your cards.

When it comes to straps, there are so many to choose from that I honestly had a hard time narrowing it down! I opted for the Bee Strap in Blush as pink is my signature color. 😉 It comes in 5 other colors including white, black, saddle (brown), red and blue! I can’t bee-lieve how many options there are! 😉   For all of my TCU fans, I am really loving the Lavender Spike Strap! Another fun fact about these straps is that you can use them on any other handbags in your closet that have hooks already.

Bee sure to check out the rest of the Clearly Handbag line here and a list of their retailers here. If you are in Fort Worth, you can also find them at Local Design Studio + Gallery, Lawrence’s, and Climate located in the Shops at Clearkfork!

I hope you all have a great week! Thanks for stopping by!
